Lovecraftian Survival Horror Game ‘NEDRA’ Takes You to the Antarctic [Teaser]

If Nightdive’s upcoming remaster of The Thing has you itching for more wintery horror, solo developer Davit Andreasyan has what you’re looking for with NEDRA. Coming to Steam Q2 2025, NEDRA is a story-driven, atmospheric action-adventure combining survival horror and Lovecraftian mythos set in the desolate, frozen valleys of Antarctica.

Players take on the role of Arthur, who finds himself at an abandoned Soviet research station in the Antarctic. The station happens to be home to an ancient, otherworldly presence. You are compelled to navigate the station and uncover its secrets. In order to do so, Arthur must avoid the Frostwalkers: chilling creatures that detect body heat.

In NEDRA, in order to avoid being spotted and attacked by the Frostwalkers, Arthur must purposely lower his body temperature almost to the point of hypothermia to avoid the creatures. Obviously, if his body temperature drops too low, he risks dying from the cold. To regain warmth, Arthur needs to drink an iodine-alcohol mixture, which raises his temperature to normal levels, but will also make him visible to the Frostwalkers. Therefore, you’ll need to constantly balance on the edge, managing survival, stealth, and combat.

Speaking of combat, you’ll need to do the expecting scrounging for supplies and ammunition. In doing so, you’ll be having to navigate the labyrinth of the research station, uncovering lost history and face dilemmas where survival isn’t always the ultimate goal.
