From Italian master of horror Lucio Fulci (The Beyond, Zombie), Don’t Torture a Duckling will be released on 4K Ultra HD on March 25 via Arrow Video.
The 1972 Italian giallo film has been newly restored in 4K from the original 2-perf Techniscope camera negative with newly restored original lossless mono Italian (with English subtitles) and English soundtracks.
Fulci co-wrote the script with Gianfranco Clerici (Cannibal Holocaust) and Roberto Gianviti (The Psychic). Florinda Bolkan, Tomas Milian, Barbara Bouchet, Irene Papas, Marc Porel, and Georges Wilson star.

Arrow’s limited edition set features a slipcover and a reversible sleeve with new artwork by Ilan Sheady and the original key art featuring the Italian title, Non si sevizia un paperino.
In the movie, “When the sleepy rural village of Accendura is rocked by a series of murders of young boys, the superstitious locals are quick to apportion blame, with the suspects including the local ‘witch,’ Maciara (Florinda Bolkan).
“With the bodies piling up and the community gripped by panic and a thirst for bloody vengeance, two outsiders – city journalist Andrea (Tomas Milian) and spoiled rich girl Patrizia (Barbara Bouchet) – team up to crack the case. But before the mystery is solved, more blood will have been spilled, and not all of it belonging to innocents…”
Don’t Torture a Duckling is significant in Fulci’s career for being his first foray into extreme gore effects, eventually earning the filmmaker the nickname The Godfather of Gore.
