‘M3GAN 2.0’ – First Images from Next Year’s Killer Doll Sequel

The viral and box office success of Blumhouse’s M3GAN back in 2022 ensured that a sequel wouldn’t be far behind, and the killer doll’s return is now a mere six months away.

With M3GAN 2.0 headed to theaters on June 27, 2025, Entertainment Weekly has shared two first look images from the upcoming Blumhouse horror sequel this morning.

Returning director Gerard Johnston teases in his chat with Entertainment Weekly, “It is very ambitious. I felt that the story should be bigger and increase in scale and scope, but it’s still a minuscule budget [compared to] the Marvel movie scale.”

Check out two images from M3GAN 2.0 below and expect the trailer soon.

Allison Williams and Violet McGraw are back for M3GAN 2.0, with Akela Cooper (Malignant, M3GAN) once again writing the script and James Wan on board to produce.

Timm SharpAristotle Athari and Jemaine Clement will also star.

Blumhouse’s M3GAN franchise will expand with an upcoming sequel as well as a spinoff movie titled SOULM8TE, which is being directed by Kate Dolan (You Are Not My Mother).

SOULM8TE is being billed as a ’90s-style erotic thriller with a “new technological twist,” and it’s coming to theaters on January 2, 2026 – just six months after M3GAN’s return.

Stay tuned for more on the M3GAN Cinematic Universe as we learn it.
