Scream Factory Upgrades ‘Galaxy of Terror,’ ‘Ghosts of Mars,’ and ‘Humanoids from the Deep’ to 4K This February

In addition to Sick, Scream Factory’s February home video line-up includes 4K upgrades for Galaxy of Terror, Ghosts of Mars, and Humanoids from the Deep.

Galaxy of Terror lands on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on February 11. Produced by Roger Corman, the Alien-inspired 1981 sci-fi horror film has been newly restored in 4K from the 3mm interpositive with Dolby Vision.

Bruce D. Clark directs from a script he co-wrote with Marc SieglerEdward Albert, Erin Moran, and Ray Walston star with future horror icons Sid Haig and Robert Englund. A young James Cameron served as production designer and second unit director.

In Galaxy of Terror, “The mind’s innermost fears become reality for the crew members of the Quest when they land on a barren planet to rescue survivors from the starship Remus. The crew investigates a giant pyramid on the planet, hoping to find the missing crew members… only to find something deadly waiting for them instead. Each crew member must come face to face with their darkest fears or perish.”

Ghosts of Mars haunts 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on February 11. The 2001 sci-fi/horror/action mash-up has been newly transferred in 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision.

Master of horror John Carpenter directs from a script he co-wrote with Larry Sulkis. Ice Cube, Natasha Henstridge, Jason Statham, Pam Grier, Clea DuVall, and Joanna Cassidy star.

Humanoids from the Deep invades 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on February 18. From executive producer Roger Corman, the theatrical and unrated cuts of 1980 creature feature have been newly restored in 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision.

Barbara Peeters directs, with uncredited reshoots helmed by Jimmy T. Murakami (Heavy Metal), from a script by William Martin. Doug McClure, Ann Turkel, Vic Morrow, and Lynn Schiller star. The Thing‘s Rob Bottin designed the monsters.

In Humanoids from the Deep, “Something evil is happening in the sleepy fishing village of Noyo. Scientist Susan Drake (Ann Turkel), along with local fisherman Jim Hill (Doug McClure), looks for the cause of this invasion of creatures from the ocean floor. When the annual Salmon Festival begins, some unwanted guests are about to crash the festivities.”
