Survive Sleep Paralysis in Psychological Horror Title ‘Dream Cage’ [Trailer]

While a video game based on A Nightmare on Elm Street probably wouldn’t focus on things like night terrors or sleep paralysis, Hitori De Productions’ upcoming Dream Cage is launching head-first into the concept. Currently in development for PC via Steam, Dream Cage focuses on the horrifying concept of something that’s all too real for many, while also bringing to life the terror these individuals feel.

Dream Cage centres on Robert a 50-year-old man who has struggled with memory issues and insomnia for many years. Compounding his issues are his addiction to medication, and hallucinations that increasingly blur the line with reality. But are they truly hallucinations, or is there something else lurking beneath the surface?

Based on conversations with individuals who have experienced sleep paralysis, Hitori De Productions has worked to recreate for the game what they felt and saw. Robert will endure five nights, each bringing a confrontation with a unique entity. Find over 25 anomalies to uncover the truth and the root of Robert’s sleep paralysis. Only by discovering them all will players unlock the true ending and reveal the full story.

However, it’s not a simple as it seems. Robert will experience random hauntings during his search for anomalies. He’ll also experience lapses in his memory, requiring him to find pills to restore clarity. In order to survive each of the five nights and uncover the source of Robert’s nightmares, you as the player must remain silent, as your microphone will pick up any sound you make.
