Eat Popcorn, Not Each Other, with Clive Barker’s ‘Night of the Zoopocalypse’ Clip and Poster

January 19 is National Popcorn Day, but Night of the Zoopocalypse is celebrating early with a new clip in which displaced zoo animals try the critical element of the cinema.

The clip is accompanied by a new poster for the animated film, which opens in theaters on March 7 from Viva Pictures.

Inspired by a concept from master of horror Clive Barker, who serves as executive producer, the script is written by James Kee (A Christmas Horror Story) and producer Steven Hoban (Cube, Ginger Snaps).

Veteran animators and story artists Ricardo Curtis (The Incredibles) and Rodrigo Perez-Castro (The Book of Life) co-direct.

David Harbour (“Stranger Things”), Scott Thompson (“The Kids in the Hall”), Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (“The Mandalorian”), and Gabbi Kosmidis (“Unicorn Academy”) lead the voice cast.

In the movie, “After a meteor unleashes a virus that turns zoo animals into zombies, a mountain lion (David Harbour) and wolf (Gabbi Kosmidis) lead a team of surviving animals to stop the virus and rescue their zoo.”

Night of the Zoopocalypse is rated PG for action/peril and scary images throughout.
