Free Point-And-Click Adventure Horror Title ‘The Flayed Man’ Announced [Trailer]

These days, it’s not very common that a developer decides to create a point-and-click adventure game. It’s even less common that they decided to release it for free. Yet that’s what Snoring Dog Games is doing with their debut title in The Flayed Man. This pixel-based horror title, which can be wishlisted on Steam or followed on itch.io, will arrive on April 17. And if you like what you see, you’ll be able to support the developers by buying a supporter’s pack or on a pay what-you-want basis.

At the moment, there’s not much in the way of details for the game, but we do have a story. The Flayed Man sees you play as the eponymous Flayed Man, who awakens without memories (or skin) in a decayed, otherworldly house. Needless to say, it’s a pretty painful existence. You must uncover the sins of the past, pass judgement, and decide the Flayed Man’s fate. That fate depends on your choices, leading to one of several endings.

The Flayed Man features traditional point and click gameplay, with modern mechanics and user interface. The action will be accompanied by an appropriately atmospheric and moody soundtrack. There are also “psychosexual demons” that, according to the Steam page, will give any budding psychologist food for thought.
