Bloody Disgusting is giving their fans an early chance to see Apple TV+’s highly anticipated survival thriller The Gorge, right here at Chicago’s historic Music Box Theatre!
Join us on Sunday, February 2 at 6:00 PM CST for an exclusive screening and stick around afterwards for an in-person Q&A with director Scott Derrickson (Sinister, The Black Phone) and The Losers’ Club producer and co-host Randall Colburn. Seats aren’t guaranteed. This is first come, first serve, so plan to arrive early.
Doors open at 5:30 PM CST. Chicago’s Music Box Theatre is located at 3733 N Southport Ave. You can’t miss it: the towering, neon sign and bright, vintage marquee can be seen for a mile. It’s a magical sight. Also magical is the main theater’s twinkling, star-covered ceiling, all of which will pair nicely with the titular abyss and the horrors that await within on screen.
Once again, plan accordingly. Bring your pass with you to the event. IDs will be checked at the door. Pass must be used by passholder.
The action sci-fi horror movie with a heavy dose of romance debuts on Apple TV+ on February 14, 2025.
In The Gorge, “Two highly-trained operatives (Teller and Taylor-Joy) are appointed to posts in guard towers on opposite sides of a vast and highly classified gorge, protecting the world from an undisclosed, mysterious evil that lurks within. They bond from a distance while trying to stay vigilant in defending against an unseen enemy.
“When the cataclysmic threat to humanity is revealed to them, they must work together in a test of both their physical and mental strength to keep the secret in the gorge before it’s too late.”
Sigourney Weaver also stars.
Miles Teller is set to executive produce in addition to starring. Zach Dean (The Tomorrow War) wrote the script. Hailing from Skydance Media, The Gorge is produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger for Skydance, alongside Scott Derrickson, C. Robert Cargill and Sherryl Clark through Crooked Highway as well as Adam Kolbrenner, Zach Dean and Gregory Goodman. Miles Teller executive produces.
The genre bender has been rated PG-13 for: “Intense sequences of violence and action, brief strong language, some suggestive material and thematic elements.”
Derrickson has been keeping busy in horror lately; the filmmaker is also directing The Black Phone 2, which will be released in October 2025.
Watch the first official trailer for The Gorge below, which introduces the unlikely pair that will fall in love…then fight for their lives against a strange new enemy.
