Psychological Horror Title ‘BrokenLore: LOW’ Launches on Steam on February 21 [Trailer]

After months of waiting, those wanting to get their hands on Serafini Productions’ BrokenLore: LOW (along with the other upcoming titles in the series) will finally be able to do so next month. BrokenLore: LOW will arrive on PC via Steam on February 21, with DON‘T WATCH and UNFOLLOW releasing in the coming months. Along with the announcement, two trailers have been released, with one focusing on the release date for LOW, and another trailer that focuses on the “retro parts” of the game.

Set 20 years before the events of UNFOLLOW, the story for BrokenLore:LOW focuses on a woman named Naomi Montgomery. Set in the remote town of Kirisame Mura (Village of the Mist) in Japan, Naomi arrives in the town for a professional opportunity that promises to launch her music career. However, she soon finds herself facing off against a sinister presence of the village, which in turn is the result of a dark legend that haunts the town, having cursed all of its inhabitants.

Much like the previous games, LOW will focus on a particular theme. In this case, Kirisame Mura is described as a labyrinth with no exit that symbolizes the cycle of wrong decisions and broken destinies of the protagonist. The structure of LOW “emphasizes this aspect with an environment that subtly repeats and changes, challenging players to find a way to break the cycle as they delve into the story.” Themes of envy, ambition, and failure will be explored.

As mentioned, BrokenLore: LOW also features a retro graphical segment, which plays a crucial role in the BrokenLore series. The game was developed in close collaboration with a psychologist to ensure an authentic representation of the themes explored, delving into the psychological impact of the traumatic experiences encountered by the protagonist.
