The director of the fan favorite Hell House LLC franchise, Stephen Cognetti is staying in the Shudder business with his next movie 825 Forest Road, ScreenDaily announced today.
The outlet reports, “Shudder has acquired North American, UK-Ireland and Australia-New Zealand rights to supernatural horror 825 Forest Road from the UK’s Blue Finch Films.”
In 825 Forest Road, “a man hopes to start a new life with his wife and sister after a family tragedy, but discovers the town he has moved to has its own problems.”
No word yet on a Shudder premiere date. Stay tuned for more.
Producers include Joe Bandelli, Dana Guerin and Cindi Rice for Epic Level Entertainment.
Stephen Cognetti is also headed back into the found footage arena to direct Hell House LLC: Lineage, the franchise’s fifth and potentially final installment. It’s coming to Shudder in October 2025. The filmmaker teased that Lineage would be the “scariest” Hell House yet.
