With the success of the Silent Hill 2 remake, you knew that something like this would come around. Per the Polish website Bankier PL (thanks, Projekt Parasol!), Bloober Team has inked a deal with Konami to develop a new game, codenamed “Project G“.
Per the announcement, the game will be based on a Konami IP, and will be developed for the PC, PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series. The deal will see Bloober Team receive remuneration for the project “in parts after meeting the established milestones,” and will also receive profits from the game’s revenues after its release. In turn, Konami will be the owner and publisher of the game.
The announcement was further elaborated on in a press release posted on Bloober Team’s website.
“Our cooperation with Konami has been incredibly fruitful, and the success of Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself,” said Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team. “By sharing knowledge and experience, we have managed to create a high-quality production together. Of course, we cannot reveal too many details at the moment, but we are sure that the fans will be as excited about our cooperation as we are. We can’t wait to share something truly special with players when the time is right.”
This latest announcement isn’t the only project that Bloober Team is working on. In addition to signing a deal with Skybound last year to develop a new horror title, as well as a deal with Nintendo for a Switch title referred to as “Project M“, Bloober Team also has an original horror title in development with the recently-announced Cronos: The New Dawn.
