Since launching into Early Access this past October, Piece of Cake Studios’ co-op game Dark Hours has been busy with updates. The latest is a big one with “All Bets Down”, bringing plenty of new content to the game, including a new monster, a new environment and additional difficulty settings. The devs have also added some unexpected surprises.
All Bets Down introduces a new monster in the Trickster Demon, which loves to hide things that don’t belong to him. In other words, players will need to be on their toes when it comes to finding items. Along with the new demon is a brand-new environment to rob in the Casino. And if you’re finding Dark Hours to be too easy (or too hard), you can now adjust the game presets to change the difficulty to suit your tastes.
The update also adds a brand-new 3D lobby for you and your team to prepare for your next heist. There are also new items available to you, including a taser, a water balloon (to prove that water and electricity don’t mix), and a water gun. Lastly, you can play new co-op minigames to progress in your heists and reach your goal while making sure to survive your pursuers. You can check out the rest of the update’s notes, including bug fixes, from the news page.
Dark Hours has you and up to three of your friends play as thieves aiming to pull off a daring heist inside of an auction house. However, when your break-in is disrupted by a supernatural event, you and your team end up trapped in the building with an evil entity. Your new objective is to survive, explore and cooperate (or if you choose, betray) to find a way out.
