Dante Fires Away at Demons in Netflix’s “Devil May Cry” Anime Clip

Dante shows off his unparalleled skills in the areas of demon hunting and quippy one-liners in the clip from “Devil May Cry” below.

True to the Capcom video game franchise on which its based, he never seems to run out of ammo.

Created by showrunner Adi Shankar (“Castlevania,” Dredd), the eight-episode anime series releases on April 3 on Netflix.

Sinister forces are at play at the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.

Johnny Yong Bosch (“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” Akira) voices Dante. Fans will recognize him as Nero, Dante’s nephew, in the video games.

South Korean animation studio Studio Mir (“The Legend of Korra,” “X-Men ’97”) produces.

Created by Hideki Kamiya, the first Devil May Cry game was released in 2001. There are now five main games in addition to several reboots, spin-offs, special editions, and mobile games.
