T-1000 Comes to ‘Mortal Kombat 1’ on March 18 [Teaser]

It was a long time coming, but the final guest fighter for Kombat Pack 2 / “Khaos Reigns” owners for Mortal Kombat 1 in the T-1000 will finally arrive on March 18. For all other users, the T-1000 will be available on March 25. Featuring the voice and likeness of actor Robert Patrick, the liquid metal-based cybernetic assassin from Terminator 2: Judgment Day brandishes his shapeshift abilities, as well as being able to organically form stabbing weapons.

Accompanying the announcement is a new teaser trailer, which debuted at Pro Kompetition Mexico, the opening event for the Mortal Kombat 1 Pro Kompetition: Season 2, hosted in Mexico City. The trailer also gives a glimpse of a new Kameo fighter in Madam Bo, who originally was a minor character in the game’s Story Mode.

The trailer also gives us a glimpse at the T-1000’s fatality, which puts a spin on a callback to the chase scene in the LA River.

It now remains to be seen what (if any) additional fighters after the T-1000 will be coming to Mortal Kombat 1, if the rumour regarding the cancellation of additional DLC is to be believed.

Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
