‘Sinners: Survive the Night’ Survival Horror Game Launches in ‘Fortnite’

Warner Bros is once again digging into Fortnite as part of a promotion for Ryan Coogler‘s upcoming Sinners. Based on the film starring Michael B. Jordan, the Sawhorse-developed Sinners: Survive the Night has just launched in Fortnite, and pits teams of six players against vampires in a Survival Horror challenge.

Per Variety, Sinners: Survive the Night features likenesses of Jordan and other members of the cast in a custom map based on the film. Gameplay features an albeit expected (but welcome) twist that’s akin to Halo‘s Infection Mode: those players who have been eliminated subsequently become vampires, forcing players to fight against their former teammates.

The main goal for Human players is to survive until daylight, while the Vampires must eliminating all remaining human players before dawn. In-game currency can be collected by recruiting NPC allies and unlocking items within the experience.

Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, Sinners centres around twin brothers (played by Jordan) who return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

Michael B. Jordan is joined by Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (“Bumblebee,” “True Grit”), Jack O’Connell (“Ferrari”), Wunmi Mosaku (“Passenger”), Jayme Lawson (“The Woman King”), Omar Benson Miller (“True Lies”) and Delroy Lindo (“Da 5 Bloods”).

Sinners arrives in theatres on April 18.
