Nightdive Studios is revisiting Turok: Dinosaur Hunter 10 years after its release, bringing the remaster of the Nintendo 64 classic to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. That’s not all, as the game has received a big update for all platforms with new features, menu options, bug fixes, and more.
Among the new features is the addition of the Brachiosaurus from a Turok beta rom, which can now be found in the Treetops level. The High Priests have had their homing blue magic attack restored, along with the Purlins unused leap smash melee attack.
New menu options include gameplay options for Radial Fog, Player Shadow, Enable Walk Toggle, and Enable Change Ammo for your weapons. Adjustments for Head Bobbing Options have been added, along with new HUD and Graphic options.
There are also a lot of bug fixes and improvements (seriously), with some of the more notable ones being the addition of more scripting features for modders, animation and texture fixes, the Particle Accelerator/Shockwave weapon can now freeze dead enemies as in the original game, the small and large cell ammo pickup models that were swapped have now been restored, and animations and scripting for The Catacombs level have also been fixed.
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is also available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch (read our review), and PC via Steam, GOG, and Humble Store.
