Upcoming Thriller ‘Don’t Trip’ Explores the “Underbelly of Hollywood Nepo Baby Culture”

The company Buffalo 8 has picked up North American distribution rights to director Alex Kugelman’s thriller Don’t Trip, with Deadline first reporting on the news this morning.

Don’t Trip is being described as a darkly comedic thriller. Deadline details in their report, “Matthew Sato (Imaginary) stars as a struggling screenwriter who falls into a dangerous relationship with a powerful producer’s son, played by TikTok personality Will Sennett.”

Olivia Rouyre (High School, American Horror Story), Fred Melamed (A Serious ManBarry), Pell James (Zodiac, Euphoria) and Chloe Cherry (Euphoria) will also star.

Alex Kugelman described the upcoming film in his chat with Deadline as being “a darkly comedic and thrilling story that explores the underbelly of Hollywood nepo baby culture.”

He also compared the film to The Player and The Disaster Artist.

No word yet on a release date from Buffalo 8. Stay tuned for more.
