‘Eddington’ – Here’s the Official Poster for Director Ari Aster’s New Western

The upcoming fourth movie from director Ari Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar, Beau Is Afraid), Eddington will premiere in competition at the Cannes Film Festival next month.

Ari Aster reteams with A24 on the upcoming Eddington, and A24 has released the official poster this morning along with a first look image. Check them out above and below.

The film has been described as “Ari Aster’s contemporary western,” with the ensemble cast including Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone, and Austin Butler.

Variety detailed, “the film is now in post-production and is believed to revolve around a couple stranded in a small New Mexico town. Though they are initially welcomed, the town takes a sinister turn by nightfall. Joaquin Phoenix portrays the town’s sheriff with ambitious dreams.”

Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward and Clifton Collins Jr. also star.

Ari Aster also wrote the screenplay for Eddington.
