‘Friday the 13th’ Director’s ‘DeepStar Six’ Plunges Onto 4K UHD in June

Nearly a decade after helming Friday the 13th, director Sean S. Cunningham plunged into aquatic horror with DeepStar Six.

The 1989 film is coming to 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on June 17 from Kino Lorber. It’s been newly restored in 4K from the original camera negative with Dolby Vision/HDR.

Taurean Blacque, Nancy Everhard, Greg Evigan, Miguel Ferrer, Matt McCoy, Nia Peeples, Cindy Pickett, and Marius Weyers star.

Lewis Abernathy (Terminal Invasion) and Geof Miller (House IV) penned the script. Harry Manfredini (Friday the 13th) composed the score, while Jason Voorhees actor Kane Hodder served as stunt coordinator.

DeepStar Six on 4K UHD includes reversible artwork and a slipcover.
