‘Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days’ Out Now in Steam Early Access [Trailer]

The wait for PikPok’s zombie strategy game Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days is finally over, with the game out now in Early Access on Steam. The first PC game entry into the franchise, the devs plan on having content updates released every four to six weeks throughout the Early Access period. In fact, the team has also revealed the Early Access roadmap for Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, with updates kicking off next month.

“Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days marks an exciting, immersive evolution of the franchise,” said Mario Wynands, CEO of PikPok. “With its Early Access launch, we welcome players to the city of Walton, and look forward to sharing frequent updates and receiving feedback through the EA period.”

Walton, Texas, 1980. When a zombie outbreak erupts in the city, survival is imperative. With each passing day, the undead’s numbers increase, law and order slip away, and Walton’s remaining survivors must do everything possible to stay alive.

You must lead a band of survivors driven by desperation and dwindling resources to survive the citywide nightmare and find a way out to safety. Upgrade shelters, seek allies, and sneak past hordes of horrors to find tools, food, and weapons – all while accepting that there’s not enough, there won’t be enough, and good neighbours are in short supply. Not all survivors are willing to negotiate, cooperate, or share.

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days blends horror with shelter management as survivors scavenge locations, choose whether to fight or avoid both zombie and human enemies, and investigate tenuous and dangerous escape plans. Overcome dynamic events that can lead to either catastrophe or salvation while balancing the needs of survivors against the backdrop of a deadly world.
